Recipe for 100% Grass-Fed, Grain-Finished Beef Liver

Pan-Seared Grass-Fed, Grain-Finished Beef Liver with Caramelized Onions

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound 100% Grass-Fed, Grain-Finished beef liver
  • 2 large onions, thinly sliced
  • 4 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the beef liver: Rinse the beef liver under cold water and pat it dry with paper towels. Slice the liver into thin strips, about ½ inch thick. Season the liver strips with salt, pepper, and dried thyme. Let them sit for a few minutes to absorb the flavors.
